Number 7
The Irukandji Jellyfish

The irukandji jellyfish is about the size of a pea. It’s extremely venomous  sting can cause symptoms known as the irukandji syndrome. The symptoms include severe pains at various parts of the body, headaches, nausea, restlessness, sweating, vomiting, high heart rate and blood pressure. One particularly large problem is that box jellyfish nets won’t keep them out- they’re so small that they just float right  through. Also, it is difficult to study irukandjis because if they bump against the glass in a tank, it will instantly kill them.
